The force initially arrested one drug dealer going by the name “Al Tablouj” while the others remain at large, the National News Agency said.

Later in the day, the force arrested four other suspects involved in the clashes.

The clashes prompted the United Nations refugee agency to suspend operations at the camp as schools closed for the day.

Palestinian factions met at 8 a.m. to discuss the security situation at the camp and agreed to crack down on such gangs.

The factions also agreed to hand over those who were arrested to the Lebanese Army.
