في محلة ابي سمراء، ونتيجة للاستقصاءات والتحريات المكثفة، تمكنت دورية من مكتب مكافحة جرائم المعلوماتية وحماية الملكية الفكرية في وحدة الشرطة القضائية، من توقيف كل من: ن. ح. (مواليد عام 1984، لبنانية)، م. ح. (مواليد عام 1975، سوري).

واوضحت في بيان، ان بالتحقيق معهما، اعترفا بتصويرهما لأشخاص بوضعيات لا اخلاقية، وقيامهما بابتزاز الضحايا مادياً، من خلال تهديدهم بنشر الصور عبر وسائل التواصل الاجتماعي "whatsapp، facebook، messenger".
