وقفت المديرية العامة لأمن الدولة بعد الرصد والمتابعة، السوريين ماهر ع. وحسن د. للاشتباه بتحركاتهما. وفي التحقيق الإستعلامي، اعترفا بالإنتماء الى تنظيم جبهة النصرة، والمشاركة معه في معارك عدة. بناء لإشارة مفوض الحكومة، تم تسليم الموقوفين الى المحكمة العسكرية لإجراء المقتضى القانوني.
