NNA - An army intelligence patrol in Arsal arrested the so-called Youssef Abdullah Awdeh in his "pickup" coming from Arsal terrain, on suspicion of his relation with terrorist groups, army command said in a communiqué on Monday.

After interrogation with him, Awdeh admitted that he has in coordination with others equipped the pickup with a "secret hideout" in the aim of smuggling arms to the benefit of one of the terrorist organizations.

The army intelligence found inside the vehicle's secret hideout anti-tank system with two missiles, 84 hand grenades, three explosive devices (each one weighing about 3 kg), detonators and assorted ammunition.

The arrested person also acknowledged that he was paid an amount of USD 4,100 in exchange for carrying out this process.
