بتاريخ 6/11/2017، توافرت معلومات لدى شعبة المعلومات في قوى الامن الداخلي، عن وجود 3 اشخاص مجهولي الهوية يقيمون في فندق في مدينة بيروت وبحوزتهم شيكاً بقيمة 17 مليون يورو يحاولون تصريفه.

على الفور، توجهت دورية من الشعبة الى الفندق وتمكنت من توقيفهم، وهم كل من:- غ. ح. (مواليد عام 1962) - ب. ا. (مواليد عام 1978) سوريين - ا. ا. (مواليد عام 1976) بتفتيش مكان اقامتهم، تم العثور على الشيك المذكور.
