أوقفت دورية من المديرية العامة لامن الدولة، بعد توافر معلومات إلى المديرية عن عمليات تزوير تأشيرات، عصابة في منطقة الشمال، يقوم أفرادها اللبنانيون بتأمين تأشيرات دخول مزورة إلى كندا لمجموعة أشخاص، مقابل تقاضيهم مبالغ مالية،وبمساعدة شريك لهم لا يزال قيد الملاحقة القانونية.
وفي التحقيق، تبين أن في حق أحدهم مذكرات وأحكام قضائية بجرائم إحتيال مختلفة، فتمت إحالتهم إلى القضاء المختص.
