The Army Command's Guidance Directorate reported on Thursday in a statement that a terrorist was killed and three others arrested in pre-emptive operations by troops in Akkar.

"As part of pre-emptive operations by Lebanese troops against terrorist organizations, an army unit raided Kherbit Daoud of Akkar, against a Daech cell. The terrorists opened fire on the soldiers who immediately returned fire, killing one of them and arresting three others.

"No soldiers were injured," the statement said.
