Army shelled Daech positions in Ras Baalbeck, Qaa, Fekha and Arsal

On the 3rd of August, the Lebanese Army started  to target Daesh positions in the area of Ras Baalbek and Qaa, firing rocket and heavy artillery shells, destroying a number of fortifications and vehicles and causing definite casualties among terrorists.

On the 6th of August, the shelling extended to Fekha region. 

These military operations enabled the Lebanese Army to succeed in taking hold of advanced positions in the northeastern outskirts of Ras Baalbeck, Qaa and Fekha region.

On the 6th, the Army also took hilltop positions from Daech (ISIS) on the outskirts of Arsal, pounding positions with artillery fire throughout the day. The strikes destroyed several fortifications and caused casualties among Daech militants., leading army units to take positions on the Daleel al-Akra Hills, Dawar al-Njasah, and Kalaat al-Zinar outskirts of Arsal.
