An army unit raided on Tuesday a number of houses belonging to wanted persons in the region of Deir al-Ahmar, arresting one citizen on charges of firing at an army patrol earlier, army command said in a communiqué.
The army seized inside these places two rifles (Kalashnikovs), hand grenades, and light ammunition, in addition to a variety of military equipment, communication devices and forged identification papers.
The arrested person and the confiscated items were handed over to the concerned authorities.
