Army soldiers stationed at a checkpoint on the international highway near the Klayaat Air Force Base, opened fire and wounded a motorcyclist who failed to comply with orders and stop at said checkpoint despite repeated calls, NNA reporter said on Thursday.
The wounded motorcyclist was immediately transferred to a local hospital in Minieh, but soon succumbed to his wounds.
The wounded person was identified as a Syrian national.
