On 09 Apr 15, the Army Intelligence succeeded in freeing an Iraqi hostage who was kidnapped earlier during the day, announced the army in a statement. The Iraqi national was kidnapped in the border region of Wadi Khaled in exchange for a ransom. Army Intelligence units managed to pinpoint the location of the abductors and later raided the area. It freed the hostage and arrested Lebanese national who masterminded the kidnapping. He has a criminal record and was previously tried for various offenses. A number of weapons used in the kidnapping were seized.
