NNA - Army Command- Guidance Directorate issued the following communiqué on Tuesday :
"A Lebanese Army force raided last night some places in Brital village in Al-Bekaa where some wanted persons hide and arrested five persons, three of them are wanted in opening fire and injuring citizens.
Moreover, the force confiscated some light military weapons, ammunition and drugs which were in their possession as well as a black Mercedes registered in the name of Mohammad Samih Moussa and a black New Grand Cherokee Jeep registered in the name of the citizen Bashir Selim Elias.
During the raid, gunmen fired at the Army members who fired back and seriously injured the wanted Abbas Hussein Tlaiss who was transferred then to one of the hospitals.
The arrested and the confiscated staff were handed in to the concerned authorities and an investigation was opened into the incident."
