Army soldiers upon an inspection of a jeep arrested a couple of occupants of Syrian extraction: cleric Husam Eddine Ghali along with four Syrian refugees in Arsal.
Occupants on board the vehicle were headed to Arsal mountain slopes, Yarzeh based directorate of guidance said in a communiqué today.
A number of rifles and hand grenades were recovered from the car along with a wireless transmitter. The explosive belt carried by one suspect has been safely donated by army bomb disposal experts while all suspects were handed over to the authorities concerned for further prosecution, army communiqué concluded.
