The Lebanese Army said in a communiqué on Tuesday that in response to information suggesting that terrorist groups have been undergoing logistic and hostile preparations along the 1564 high Mkheirmeh Mountain, an Army force effectuated a quality and storming raid against the aforementioned groups.

Clashes between the Army and terrorists left 3 killed and four injured within the enemy ranks.

"This move comes within the frame of pre-emptive military operations being implemented by army units to terminate terrorist groups and to prevent them from infiltrating army posts and assaulting citizens," the Army communiqué said.

The Lebanese Army controlled a jihadist position at Tallet al-Mukhairmeh in Ras Baalbek after engaging in clashes with militants and killing them, NNA field reporter said.
