Army deters attack on army base in Wadi Hmayed

Army Command - Guidance Directorate issued a communiqué on Thursday in which they mentioned that Army units deployed in Wadi Hmayed region in Arsal deterred Wednesday past midnight a terrorist armed group attempt to sneak into one of the military stations.
The communiqué said that the said patrols spotted a terrorist armed group sneaking into one of the military station, directly engaged with them by appropriate weapons and forced them to withdraw and flee towards the highlands.
It also stated that an army station at Al-Masyadeh region in Arsal was subject to fire shooting from the nearby camp of the displaced Syrians; duly, Army members fired back.
"Army elements are currently pursuing the fire shooters to arrest them and refer them to the concerned judiciary authorities," the communiqué added.
