The Army Information branch raided the houses of several fugitives in Beirut’s southern suburbs.
The army announced that the Chiyah raid resulted in many arrests, most notably the arrest of Nidal Shaaib. In Shaaib's house, they found a Kalashnikov rifle, in addition to 21 pistols, a large amount of ammunition and miscellaneous military equipment.
Those arrested were referred to the judiciary for further investigation.
