On 12 Dec 15, the army arrested Lebanese fugitive in the Akkar town of Mashta Hasan for having links to terrorist groups. He had links with terrorist member and had schemed to carry out attacks in the area of Wadi Khaled. The detainee had admitted that the so-called al-Satem had briefed him on the plans of the Islamic State to recruit fighters and establish terrorist cells and armed groups in Wadi Khaled in a bid to target army positions in conjunctions with military operations inside the Syrian territory.
