Lebanese Army Intelligence arrested a man in the Baalbeck town of Iaat for allegedly killing two people, an Army statement reported.
The suspect, identified as Abbas Ali Hamdan, was arrested on suspicions of opening fire and killing two people, as well as injuring several others. One of the wounded was reportedly an Internal Security Forces officer.
The Army gave no further details on the crime.
The detainee was referred to the judiciary and an investigation was launched.
