On 17 May 15, the Army Directorate for Guidance announced, after raids in a Barr Elias encampment, that army soldiers arrested 58 Syrian refugees including 3 terrorist suspects. Further Syrian refugees with expired documents were also arrested; Overnight searches mounted by the army also revealed an AK 47 and a number of illegal motorcycles.
