A suspect was arrested on smuggling charges by the Army Information branch. In a statement, the Army said that K.H. was arrested during a raid on his house in Majdal Anjar, a town in Zahle.

He is wanted for smuggling foreigners between Lebanon and Syria, in addition to engaging in gunfire exchanges.

Forty-four Syrians were arrested with him, and two cars were confiscated. The suspects were referred to the judiciary for further investigation.
