The Lebanese Army’s Intelligence Directorate arrested a Palestinian national suspected of belonging to extremist Bilal Badr’s group.
 
An Army statement identified the man as Youssef Fakhri Ismail and said he belongs to Badr’s group, which is associated with Daesh (ISIS). He also reportedly participated in the recent clashes between Badr loyalists and the joint Palestinian security force in the Ain al-Hilweh refugee camp.
 
The statement added that Ismail had connections with the fugitive Daesh cell leader Fadi Ibrahim Ahmad Ali Ahmad, nicknamed Abu Khattab. Ismail provided him with weapons and explosive materials for the manufacture of explosive devices to carry out terrorist bombings planned by Ahmad.
