On 30 Mar 15, unknown gunmen kidnapped the citizen Hussein Seifeddine in Aarsal and made their way up to the highlands.

On 05 Apr 15, Baalbek resident Hussein Seifeddine was freed by his captors after he was abducted last week from a shop in the Bekaa border town of Arsal. According to media he was released without any ransom and that he was handed over to Arsal mayor Saadeddine Kranbi.
