The ISF arrested several people involved in a scheme to steal and sell rental cars. The ISF said on Nov. 15 it arrested a suspect identified as Syrian national M.H., born in 1998, in Nabatieh’s Arab Salim. At the time of his arrest, the suspect was carrying an ID and driver’s license identifying him as Lebanese national T.R., born in 1996, which he had used to rent out a four-wheel-drive vehicle in the southern city of Tyre.

During investigations, he allegedly admitted the ID and license were forgeries. The agency said M.H. had planned to rent another car and sell both vehicles in the Bekaa to two individuals identified as A.J and A.Z. He said two people were planning to accompany him there in order to sell the cars, and were waiting for him in Kfar Roummane.
