A delivery man in east Lebanon was robbed with assailants reportedly making off with 500 electric fans, a security source told The Daily Star. A suspect called Ibrahim al-Dahab’s electronics store, asking if 500 fans could be delivered to Baalbeck. The fans were sent with a delivery man in a pickup truck, however he was reportedly held up at gunpoint after a car of armed suspects blocked the road.
The suspects then took the driver some distance from the truck, threatening to kill him if he didn’t comply, while they looted the fans. The truck was left on a main road near the Britel exit, and the suspects escaped to an unknown location.
“The security forces are monitoring the phone number in order to identify the suspects,” the source said.
This security incident was mapped according to the closest possible location.
