The body of a 46-year-old man was found in a pond near the Litani River, the state-run National News Agency reported Monday.

The Internal Security Forces reportedly discovered the body of Aa.Sh.Aa., a naturalized Lebanese citizen, in a pond along the banks of the Litani River in the Baalbek village of Hawsh Bay.

Members of the Civil Defense arrived at the scene and recovered the body from the water.

It is not yet clear whether the death was the result of foul play.
