The army arrested three Lebanese citizens and 41 Syrian nationals during wide raids it carried out on a number of Syrian refugees' camps in the town of Khirbet Daoud and other hideouts of fire shooters, on suspicion of committing security violations, Army Command-Guidance Directorate said in a communiqué on Friday.
Army raids came in the wake of the attack on the Lebanese army patrol which came under gunfire by gunmen, leading to the martyrdom of one soldier on the road of al-Bireh Akkar.
Various sorts of military materials were seized in the possession of the arrested persons, who were handed over to the concerned judiciary for further investigation.
