شارت المديرية العامة لقوى الأمن الداخلي - شعبة العلاقات العامة، أنّ "نتيجة التحريات والإستقصاءات المكثّفة، وفي إطار مكافحة عمليات تهريب الأشخاص من سوريا إلى لبنان، تمكّنت شعبة المعلومات في قوى الأمن الداخلي، من توقيف 26 شخصًا بينهم 9 أطفال، وذلك في بلدة الصويري - البقاع الغربي، بجرم دخول الأراضي اللبنانية خلسة".

وأوضحت في بلاغ، أنّ "الموقوفين سُلّموا إلى القطعة المعنية، والتحقيق جارٍ بإشراف القضاء المختص".
