As a result of the security operations carried out by the army this morning in the vicinity of the town of Arsal, 22 people were arrested on suspicion of belonging to terrorist organizations which partook in the fighting against the army, a communiqué by Army Command-Guidance Directorate said.
Another 36 people were arrested for illegally entering the Lebanese territories and for lack of possessing identification papers, communiqué added.

Investigations were launched with the arrested persons under the supervision of the concerned court.
