16 Syrian suspects arrested in Akkar for assaults on army and security violations

Army units deployed in the region of Akkar on Thursday morning carried out raids in the area and arrested 16 Syrian nationals suspected of carrying out assaults on army members and committing security violations, army Command-Guidance Directorate said in a communiqué.
Two of the arrested persons were found to possess arms, ammunition and military materiel.
The arrested Syrians were handed over, along with their seized items, to the competent authorities, communiqué concluded.
