أعلنت المديرية العامة لقوى الأمن الداخلي في بيان أنه "توافرت معلومات لدى شعبة المعلومات في قوى الأمن الداخلي، عن قيام شخص بترويج عملة مزيفة من فئة المئة دولار اميركي في بلدة عنقون وبعض قرى إقليم التفاح على متن سيارة نوع فورد لون نبيذي"، مشيرة الى أنه "نتيجة المتابعة تم تحديد هويته وهو: م. ر. (مواليد عام 2000، لبناني) الذي أوقف بعد رصده مساء تاريخ 29/11/2018 في بلدة عنقون، وضبط بحوزته مبلغ 300 دولار من فئة المئة دولار جميعها مزيفة، إضافة إلى مبلغ 640 ألف ل. ل. صحيحة كان حصل عليها مقابل ترويجه للعملة المزيفة".
