أعلنت المديرية العامة لقوى الأمن الداخلي - شعبة العلاقات العامة، أنّ "بتاريخ 17 كانون الأول 2018، وفي أثناء قيام دورية من فصيلة البترون في وحدة الدرك الإقليمي بمهمّة حفظ الأمن والنظام، شاهدت دخانًا يتصاعد من وادي بلدة في رشكيدا على مقربة من مجرى نهر الجوز".

ولفتت في بلاغ، إلى أنّ "على الفور، توجّهت الدورية إلى المحلة حيث تبيّن وجود "مشحرة" للفحم ومجموعة من الحطب مجهّزة للحرق، وبجانبهم "بيك- آب" دون لوحات"، مبيّنةً أنّ "على الاثر، قامت دوريتان من الفصيلة المذكورة بملاحقة ثلاثة أشخاص كانوا يقومون بقطع أشجار السنديان يقدّر وزنها بحوالي 2 طن، بهدف تصنيع الفحم دون أي ترخيص قانوني
