The ISF has arrested a man suspected of transferring weapons from Syria to Lebanon.

The man, identified as Lebanese Aa.H., born in 1988, was arrested Wednesday in Hermel by a patrol from the ISF’s Information Branch. He was found in possession of 26 ammunition boxes, each containing 440 bullets.

Upon investigation, Aa.H. reportedly admitted that in exchange for money, he smuggled weapons and ammunition for a man identified as Lebanese M.Z., born in 1988, who resides in Hermel. The statement said that M.Z. would then transfer the weapons to another man, identified as Lebanese Aa.Sh., born in 1957, who has several warrants out for his arrest.
