The Internal Security Forces Friday announced the arrest of a man suspected of attempting to blackmail an underage girl with “compromising” photos of her that he had obtained, the suspect as Lebanese national H.Z., born in 1999, and said he identified himself online as Tirex.

He was arrested after the girl filed a complaint saying the suspect had threatened to publish photos of her on social media “if she did not meet his wishes,” the statement said.

He was arrested in Baabda’s Hadath and referred to the judiciary for investigation.
