The Army Friday arrested people smugglers after intercepting a fishing boat carrying passengers attempting to travel to Cyprus illegally near the coast of Tripoli, an Army statement reported.
A patrol from the Army’s Information Branch, accompanied by its maritime forces, stopped the boat off the coast of Qalamoun,The Army said that 42 people were on board the vessel all of them Syrian nationals except for one Bangladeshi.
