BEIRUT: The body of a woman was found in a bag in a waste-sorting plant in Beirut Wednesday, local media outlet LBCI reported. An Internal Security Forces source confirmed the discovery. The woman, the source told The Daily Star, was in her 20s or 30s and dark skinned. She was found by employees at the Karantina waste-sorting plant in the afternoon who called the ISF. The woman’s body was transported to a hospital by the Civil Defense, but the source could not identify which hospital. An investigation is ongoing to identify the woman and determine the cause of death. No additional information was provided
