The Army Intelligence unit raided several fugitive houses in al-Knayseh, Deir Zainoun and Baalbeck in Bekaa Thursday.
The raids resulted in the arrest of Hussein Ali Zaaiter and Mohammad Samir Shemaly for dealing drugs. Two bags containing unspecified drugs were confiscated, the statement said
Army personnel also arrested Mohammad Aqil Zaaiter for carrying fraudulent identification documents.
The statement by the Army also reported the arrests of Samir Zaaiter, who was wanted for illegally discharging a firearm and drug dealing, and Louay Kanaan, who was wanted for smuggling people across the Lebanese-Syrian border.
The Army arrests come as the Bekaa governorate has witnessed a series of security incidents, prompting locals and political figures to urge security agencies to take control of the situation.
