The consumer protection unit of the Internal Security Forces Wednesday raided a food storage warehouse in Bir Hasan, seizing a large amount of spoiled foods intended for local consumption.
The warehouse, which belongs to a Syrian national identified as Abdelsalam H., stored canned foods, Chocomax chocolate spread and candy in poor conditions, which led to the products being spoiled.
The warehouse was closed with a red wax seal after a green light from the judiciary. The owner of the warehouse will also be fined, a statement from the ISF said.
