A man in his thirties has been arrested on suspicion of stealing LL76 million (approximately $50,000), according to a statement released by the Internal Security Forces.
The ISF arrested the suspect, identified as M. D., on March 3, one week after he allegedly stole the money from a food supplies business near the St. Therese Hospital in Beirut’s southern suburbs.
The suspect has a record of drug use and admitted to previous thefts targeting the St. Therese hospital and surrounding medical clinics and shops, the ISF statement read.
