The Internal Security Forces arrested a suspected member of a drug trafficking gang, a statement from the ISF reported Friday.

The ISF was investigating a gang that trafficked drugs and stole cars when they arrested the Lebanese national, identified as Aa.A., born in 1958, on Feb. 3 in the northeastern town of Beit Shama in Baalbeck. He was found with a Kalashnikov rifle and two cell phones.

Aa.A. was accused of theft, forgery and drug offenses and confessed to the crimes during questioning.
