The Lebanese Army  arrested a man suspected of murder, after a body was found inside a tank of asphalt in Aley, an Army statement said.

The deceased, identified as Syrian national Nayef Omar al-Askar, born in 1994, was found Sunday strangled and handcuffed at the bottom of the tank.

Syrian national Yasser Fawaz al-Azi has been arrested in connection to the killing.

It took more than two hours to recover Askar’s body, the NNA reported at the time.

The suspect has been referred to court for further investigation.
