The body of a man was found in a large tank of asphalt near the Aley town of Ain Dara, the state-run National News Agency reported.
The deceased, identified as Syrian national Nayef Omar al-Askar, born in 1994, was found strangled and handcuffed at the bottom of the tank. It took more than two hours to recover the body, the NNA reported.
The body was transferred to Elias Hrawi government hospital in Zahle and an investigation into the death was opened.
