عند الساعة 11:00 من صباح اليوم 10/12/2017 واثناء تنظيم اعتصام في محلة عوكر قرب السفارة الأميركية رفضاً لقرار الرئيس الاميركي، أقدم بعض المتظاهرين على إحراق الإطارات والقيام بأعمال شغب والإعتداء على الممتلكات العامة في المحلة ورمي الحجارة وقنابل المولوتوف على عناصر قوى الأمن الداخلي المولجين حفظ الأمن والنظام"، موضحة أنه "بعد إصرارهم على القيام بأعمال الشغب وعدم محافظتهم على سلمية الإعتصام وإصابة عدد من العناصر، اضطرت القوة إلى تفريقهم.
وأفادت عن "إصابة 19 عنصراً من قوى الأمن الداخلي بجروح مختلفة ويخضع أحدهم لعملية جراحية جراء تعرضه لإصابة دقيقة في وجهه، في حين تم توقيف 10 أشخاص يشتبه بقيامهم بأعمال شغب، بينهم 4 مواطنين لبنانيين و 6 من الجنسية الفلسطينية"، لافتة إلى أن التحقيقات جارية بإشراف القضاء المختص.
