حوالي الساعة 10,30 وأثناء مرور الجندي حمزة المصري في محلة تل ابيض - بعلبك، تعرض لإطلاق نار من قبل مسلحين يستقلون سيارة رباعية الدفع لون أسود، ما أدى الى إصابته بجروح خطرة نقل على أثرها الى مستشفى دار الأمل الجامعي، حيث ما لبث ان استشهد.
وقد بوشر التقصي عن مطلقي النار لتوقيفهم وإحالتهم على القضاء المختص.
