The Lebanese Army discovered and detonated of an explosive device near the northeastern town of Arsal.
 
The explosive device was found in the Rahwa area in the outskirts of Arsal, in addition to an unspecified quantity of ammunition.
 
The ordnance was uncovered by a unit from the Army Corps of Engineers and the controlled explosion was carried out in situ.
 
The Army has been working to clear explosives from the outskirts of Arsal since the conclusion of a battle in August to oust Daesh (ISIS) militants from the area.
