صدر عن المديرية العامة لقوى الامن الداخلي ـ شعبة العلاقات العامة البلاغ التالي: "الساعة 7:20 من صباح يوم الجمعة الواقع فيه 15/9/2017، ومقابل صيدلية الوردية في مدينة الشويفات، وخلال انتقال موظفين إثنين من شركة تجارية على متن سيارة نوع تويوتا لون فضي في مهمة نقل أموال وشيكات مصرفية، اعترضت طريقهما دراجة آلية على متنها شخصَين مجهولَي الهوية، يعتمران خوذتين فشهر أحدهما مسدسا حربيا بوجه الموظفَين وسلباهما مبلغا قدره ماية مليون ليرة لبنانية وعددا من الشيكات المصرفية، ثم لاذا بالفرار إلى جهةٍ مجهولة.
