he Lebanese Army beefed up its military and field positions bringing more reinforcements to the towns of Ras Baalbek, al-Qa'a, and surrounding areas.

The Army also dispatched patrols in the region and set up new military posts in preparation to foil any attempt by militants to infiltrate the two towns.
