Lebanese Army units tightened security measures around Arsal town in northeast Lebanon, after Hezbollah launched an attack to clear militants from its outskirts.

Soldiers blocked off all roads leading the hills east of Arsal where Syrian-based militants are deployed. Army checkpoints were also closely monitoring movements at the entrances of the town.  Measures also included running patrols and setting-up fixed and mobile checkpoints on main and secondary roads.

The Army was not involved in the fighting and it's main mission was to ensure that militants of Jabhat Fatah al-Sham and Daesh stayed away from Arsal and its Syrian refugee camps nearby.

This security incident was mapped according to the closest possible location.
