The Internal Security Forces arrested a man known as Aa.S. in south Lebanon on suspicion of being involved in a shootout on Jul. 3, between two power generator owners, a security source told The Daily Star. Aa.S. is the son of one of the generator owners, and is suspected of being involved in the incident. His arrest followed raids in the Iskandarani neighborhood of Sidon carried out by security forces on Wednesday.

A verbal confrontation in Sidon turned into an exchange of gunfire between two power generator owners. The owners, Lebanese national A.T. and Palestinian national S. Sh., clashed over a territorial dispute. A.T. accused S.Sh. of setting up generators in an area primarily powered by the former. Some of those involved in the clash were identified as partners and relatives of the two owners. Initial reports said that one of the owners was wounded, but it was later confirmed that there were no injuries or casualties.
