A personal dispute erupted between "M.D" and Sheikh Nidal Danaf in the town of Baalchmay in Upper Metn region on Saturday, which led to Danaf's death, National News Agency correspondent reported.
The Sheikh was killed after "M.D" opened fire, hitting him with five bullets.
The perpetrator surrendered himself to the Lebanese army while religious, political and party leaders worked to ease the tension in the town, keeping the incident within its individual context.
