A dispute between neighbors over a barking dog in Tripoli turned violent on Tuesday when the animal’s owners were shot.
A source told The Daily Star that the dispute had been simmering for about five days. The dog, which was on the roof of a building in the northern city's Bab al-Tabbaneh neighborhood, would not stop barking. Its owners, M.Aa and son Z.Aa, refused to do anything about it, despite entreaties from their neighbors. One of them became fed up and shot the two.
The shooter fled the scene. The Army is trying to track him down.
